This is an AC to DC ignition conversion CDI box. It bypasses the sourcecoil on your stator and powers the ignition system directly from thebattery for improved starting performance and reliability.

TheCDI box installs tightly in the original rubber boot and mountinglocation.

The connectors plug in like the OEM. There are differentnumbers and colour wires but this does not affect operation.

Theoriginal Yellow/Black wire from the vehicle is not used. The Orange wire onCDI box provides battery power when the key is on. It is connected inbetween the horn Brown wire and the terminal on thehorn.

Please note:

The onlyreal way to test your CDI box is to swap it out with another known goodunit from the same year / make / model. Because of this we recommend thatyou rule everything else out before replacing the CDI box.
