How to Choose the Right Helmet
-
Measure your head: Use a soft tape just above your eyebrows around the largest part of your skull. Compare to size chart.
-
Check certifications: Look for labels like ECE, DOT or other recognised local/Australian safety standards.
-
Try for fit: The helmet should fit snugly without pressure spots, the liner should contact all around your head evenly, strap securely, and you should be able to move your head without slipping.
-
Choose the style for your ride: Match helmet type to your bike and riding conditions (urban vs adventure vs off-road).
-
Think comfort & longevity: Removable liners, good airflow, compatibility with comms or goggles all increase value and wearability.
